The first online sale after Flipkart-Walmart deal started on 13th May and is showing the same vigor as always. This four-day sale is not only offering great discount on items, it is coming down with never-to-miss deals on a range of products from all the major categories. The most popular sale items are coming from the segments of fashion, electronics, home décor, and large appliances.
The leading e-commerce giants of India, Amazon, and Flipkart started their four-day sale and got joined by other online players. A broad portfolio of products is being offered in this season. SnapDeal which is also putting best efforts to make a comeback started its “Mega Deals Festival” on 13th which is supposed to continue till 15th May.
FlipKart’s “Big Shopping Days” are luring the customers with grand offers on mobiles, TVs, electronics, apparels, laptops, beauty, furniture and other products. Around 80 million products are discounted for this sale offering as much as 70% off on large appliances like TVs and ACs. Fashion and clothing are offered at 80% discount. The “Amazon Summer Sale” is also offering great deals like eBooks, electronics, fashion, and others. Samsung handsets are offered at almost 12000 off on the price. Electronics are offered at almost half the retail price.
The summer sale can turn out to be the money spinner for the eCommerce stores. While these sales account for only 10% of the year, they lead to 30% of the annual GMV. The daily transactions increase to about 200% during these days. Whatever be the offerings from different online portals, the competition among them is only going to benefit the consumers with an array of products offered at discounted prices.
